Well another week has flown by and I still can't believe that I am in week 11 here in Argentina! This past weekend we went on and ISA excursion to Rosario, Argentina! There was about 100 of us and we took 3 buses about 4 hours to the city of Rosario. Rosario is a very unique city in that it has a Socialist government and that it is home to the Monument of the Flag of Argentina! We got to Rosario on Saturday around lunch time, invaded an all you can eat buffet and then spent the afternoon exploring the city! The city is along the river and so there are miles of walkways and parks along the river and you can literally spend all day strolling along the beautiful river... There was an INSANE amount of people out enjoying the beautiful weather and of course drinking mate : ) Truly Argentine! Sunday we spend the day on the beach of the river, now you may think that a river beach may be a bit ugly, but it was beautiful! White sandy beaches, lots of sun and a light breeze : ) I got some good sun and took a little cat nap, life is good : )
I have two oral presentations today! YIKES! Waiting right now to speak with my oral production teacher about the role of women in Argentine society, no big haha. Hoping that the words will be flowing today haha! And then at 4 we give our presentation in Tango class, lots of Spanish practice today! The countdown has officially began, Tim and Mom will be here Thursday morning! WOO HOO! : ) Well I am going to save you all some time and cut this one short, stop typing in English and get to thinking in Spanish before my presentation! Sending love from the South!

| Such a cool lay out of a city! Behind us you can see a skate rink along the river! In hand is the most delicious kettle corn, apart Dad's! (daddy, your kettle cork will always have first place!) |
 |
| Upper part of the flag monument! We walked slowly enough that we didn't make it to the monument until after dark! But the effect is beautiful! My friends striking some poses : ) |
 |
| Monumento de la Bandera! Lit up with the colors of the Argentine flag! The creator of the flag, Manuel Belgrano, raised the flag to the people for the first time in Rosario in 1812 |

| Just had to put this one in! Friday, Katie and Meghan and I hung out in China town and then walked all around and we encountered the coolest dogs ever! THEY ARE HUGE! We asked the dog walker if we could take a picture with them, of course : ) Do you think I could sneak "Bear" (the one on the left) home with me in my suitcase with me?! : ) |
