As I started to think of writing my blog I came to the realization that week 6, was a normal week, and that feels good : ) Nothing of great consequence occurred and I really don't have many fun stories to tell and the awesome part about it all is that maybe for the first time it feels like my real life down here. I go to school, hang out with friends, work on homework, help Grace cook dinner, do pilates videos in the living room, go for coffee, wash dishes, do my Bible study, eat a ham sandwich at the house for lunch... And the truth is, I couldn't be happier : ) I am just soaking it all in and thanking God for the normality of it all now, there's such a peace that comes from feeling at home away from home : )
Tuesday night Grace and I did some experimenting in the kitchen : ) We threw together our best efforts and ended up with a "calzone-ish" thing filled with chicken, carrots and onions. It was delicious and we decided we make a pretty good pair : ) I love being able to help out in the kitchen, and Grace is so much fun to spend time with : ) Wednesday night was an adventure I guess! Nena and I went to a stand up comedy bar! There were 5 different comedians that performed and we got hooked up with a table right next to the stage. You better believe that when I happened to understand a joke, I laughed like CRAZY! : ))) It was a really fun!
This morning brought Bible Study with the women at the International Bible Church, there are now 5 of us girls from the UB and they are hoping we will outnumber the women of the church at the study, we are about even now : ) Homemade coffee cake, nothing like a true taste of home : ) Like I said, the little things, I am trying to thank God more for each daily blessing.
We had an optional ISA "excursion" today, a guided tour of the famous, Teatro Colon. It's incredibly beautiful! And I most definitely plan on returning to watch a ballet, maybe even this Sunday : ) I am thinking of buying the most inexpensive ticket, seeing where that lands me in the theater and then in the future I can be more picky : ) If nothing else, I will be able to hear the music! : )
Tonight we are meeting up with some girls from the church, Ana and Dani, at a place called "Jobs", I guess it's just filled with all kinds of games and such and there is "free" pizza until midnight with your cover charge. It's every "big kids" dream is what I hear : ) I will let you know how it goes! Hope that where ever this weekend takes you that you have a great one! God Bless!
