Hey all!
Been a pretty normal week here! I had a really neat experience on Monday morning, the wife of the Pastor of our church down here is actually the equivalent of a physical therapist down here in Argentina, and so I got into contact with her a few weeks back at church. We arranged to get together and she graciously invited me to go to her house for tea on Monday so I could pick her brain a little bit : ) I feel so lucky that she took the time to let me ask my millions of questions because she is a new mom with a 3 month old and a 2 year old and she definitely has her hands full : ) I spent about 2.5 hours with her and just was able to talk with her about the schooling to become a “Kinesiologa” in Argentina, what the the career is like, all the different places that you can work, etc. She was such an incredible source of information and it was really interesting to discuss some of the differences between therapy in the USA and in Argentina. I could have probably stayed for a few more hours just asking questions and hearing about her experiences, it's just so incredible that God placed this woman right in front of me, He really is providing the whole experience, no such thing as a coincidence : ) hahaha.
Monday was my friend Katie's birthday so we went out for tea and then met up with 8 students from her program that are studying Spanish down here, 3 from Germany, 1 from Canada, 2 from Polland and 3 of us from the States! Talk about a little bit of everything :) Don't you worry, everyone spoke English, OF COURSE! Haha. It was a really fun night and I just so lucky to have made such an incredible friend and happy that we got to spend her birthday hanging out at a parilla in Argentina, pretty neat : )
Midterms are this next week so I have been trying to study some more but realize that I am really good at wasting time : ) Just got back from the Women's Bible Study that I attend and instead of doing my grammar homework I am writing this... OOPS! On that note I had better end this one short and get to work! I can't believe it's already mid-terms, I know they told me that this time would fly, but really it's unreal! Just trying to enjoy every moment and just be so thankful for the experience! Thanks for checking in!
Besos!
