O the hospitality of Argentines.... It really never ceases to amaze me the way that we have been completely welcomed with open arms, hearts and kitchens here : ) Astrid, a girl we go to church with, invited a few of us to her house after church on Sunday for lunch. Little did we know that we were in for a culinary experience : ) We ran to the supermarket, purchased eggs, potatoes and onions and returned to the house to make gnocchi's from scratch! Hand made potato noodles and tomato sauce from scratch on a Sunday afternoon, delicious! We ended up staying and hanging out with 4 kids from the church until about 4 or 5 in the afternoon, they are so cool. God has just provided the most incredibly loving, cool and genuine good people to be part of my life down here.
Monday I went to my friend Ana's house to study with her for the morning. She is studying bio technology, but in order to get the latest edition of her immunology books, etc. she buys them in English, reads them, and then proceeds to translate them into Castellano... Hmmm, most times I can't even understand my books in English, my first language! QUE INTELLIGENTE!
Grace and I went on another culinary excursion tonight, on the menu was an Argentine classic, Milanesa de Carne! I will put pictures of the process in total so you guys can join us on the adventure : ) I think that cooking with Grace is my new favorite pastime, we always have a good time : ) Ooo funny misunderstanding... So I was explaining to Grace that I had only tried a "bite" of Milanesa before and this, for some reason made Grace laugh INCREDIBLY hard... well come to find out during dinner, I inserted a well known, and strong word for "poop" where I had intended to say "bite". Something to this effect, "Well, I have only tried a sh*t of Milanesa de Carne!" And now I understand the animated response : )
Well there's your quick little update from the capital city : ) the people are incredible, the food is delicious and I continue to say dumb things! How great is life! Hope that you all had an amazing long weekend!

| Study session : ) |
| We are chefs! Milanesa de Carne here we go! |
| First you have to tenderize the meat a whole whole whole bunch! We took our frustrations out on it : ) It actually was a pretty good work out for the ol' biceps! |
| Then the meat marinades in eggs, some herb that I can't ever remember in english and garlic! |
| Breading the meat in really fine bread crumbs! |
| And throw them in some oil! They cook in literally seconds and are delicious! |
| And dinner is served! To top of the Milanesa, we squirted fresh lemon juice! It was really quite delicious! And cooked with love! |
